ResponsibilitiesRethinking and rebuilding our transportation infrastructure is one of the nation's most pressing issues, and one that brings unprecedented cost. With trillions of dollars needed to repair and improve everything from rural streets to subway tunnels, the roadway to repair can seem unclear.TRC provides the vision to create a pathway for success. From consulting and planning to environmental analysis, engineering and construction, we set the bar for clients needing more than engineering and construction knowledge to solve infrastructure challenges.To meet these challenges, TRC is currently seeking applicants for CI's (Construction Inspectors) to join our Construction Engineering and Inspection Practice in Asheville, NC and other locations in North Carolina.Qualified Inspectors are needed for:
  • Highway / Roadway Construction Inspection
  • Bridge and Structures Inspection
Qualifications
  • 18 or more months of construction project inspection experience
The following certifications and qualifications must be met, or candidate must be willing to obtain:
  • ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician- Grade I
  • ACI Aggregate Testing Technician - Level I OR
  • NC Aggregate Level I
Completion of the following tests:
  • NCDOT Flexible Pavement Test, ODOT Traffic Work Zone Test, ODOT Commercially Useful Function (CUF) Training
AND meet at least one of the following:
  • NICET Level II in Highway Construction Inspection Certification OR
  • Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, Construction Management Degree or similar technical degrees surpassing these requirements.
  • Familiarity with ODOT inspection procedures and ability to prepare reports using Excel, ODOT Mobile Inspector, GoFormz, and Sitemanger, or other project management software is preferred.

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
