We have an immediate need for a Field Technician to help with Utility pole audits and surveys across Georgia.
This role will involve going to field locations to gather data and ensure all units have proper equipment.
Accuracy and attention to detail are paramount in this role as all technicians work will be checked.
The Field Technician should be prepared to be on the road five days a week and away from home up to four days a week if necessary.
Ideally candidates will have worked for a Telecommunications or Utility firm previously performing field surveys or audits.
Job Duties:
This role will require the candidate to be on the road most of the time.
Will travel mostly around Georgia doing field surveys of Georgia Powers poles.
Will have detailed inventory information of what equipment should be on the pole and will need to check to see if that data is accurate.
Will also need to notice if new equipment has been added that should not be there. Its best if someone has worked for a Utility firm or Telecommunications firm before as they will know what cables they are looking at (i.e. difference between a coax cable and a telephone cable).
Will build reports from their surveys and turn them in weekly. Their client allows for a 3% error rate. They will go behind and do checks and if they find someone is above 3% they will be released.
Candidates need to have a strong attention to detail for this role.
Requirements:
High School Diploma
Any past survey experience is highly preferred (utility, telecom etc)
