Spring Education Group’s Early Childhood Education Division includes nearly 150 schools offering services from infant care through Pre-K/K programs, as well as summer camp and after-school programs. Our locations span a nationwide geographic footprint and a diverse array of pedagogical approaches — including our proprietary that draws from the collective expertise of renowned early-age educators such as Dewey, Piaget and Vygotsky; Montessori schools that embrace both accredited Montessori methods – (Association Montessori Internationale) and (American Montessori Society); and progressive language immersion programs in Mandarin and Spanish.Summary:As an After School Teacher at Chesterbrook Academy, you will collaborate professionally with other staff, parents, and outside vendors to promote the general well-being of the school, and the collective/individual interest of its staff and student body.Ages: Kindergarten through Fifth GradeHours: 2:00 PM to 6:00 PMResponsibilities:
  • Culture: Positively influence your peers to work toward and meet the school’s vision of excellence. Provides and maintains quality education programs. Ensures successful implementation of approved curriculum.
  • Health & Safety: Prioritizes a safe, clean, and attractive camp environment. Maintains compliance with camp standards and state licensing requirements as well as all applicable state and federal laws, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Engage, Inspire, Experience: Our counselors are committed to creating an unforgettable experience for campers while empowering them to embrace challenges and new opportunities with courage, confidence, and determination.
  • Relationship Building: Have a strong desire to work collaboratively with a talented team of diverse staff and administrators. Develop and maintain interpersonal relationships with the families, students, and community.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have an awarded High School Diploma or GED
  • Often carrying and lifting 25 pounds or less (25-50%) and occasionally carrying 25-50 pounds (10-25%).
  • Ability to successfully pass a state and federal background check.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to connect with students.
