- Experience in diagnosing and correcting mechanical / electrical equipment failures
- Experience in developing and maintaining preventive, predictive, and proactive mechanical /electrical maintenance programs for all plant equipment
- Experience leading a diverse group of skilled technicians and technician trainees
- Strong people skills and the ability to challenge, motivate, and support direct reports
- Advanced mechanical and electrical maintenance knowledge and aptitude
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate with all levels of associates
- Ability to lead through demonstration, communication, organization, and reinforcement
- Ability to make logical, unemotional decisions in stressful situations
- A strong desire and willingness to both learn and teach
- High level of maturity and self-discipline
- Demonstrated high energy level, strong work ethic, and logical approach to problem solving.
- Basic to Intermediate computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and/or in a team environment
- Excellent time management skills
- Must have the qualities of stress tolerance, persistence, self-control, self-organization, integrity and flexibility
- 3-5 years maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment
- 4 year degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
