The company is pioneering a first-of-its-kind financial model designed to reshape how individuals save for retirement—creating the equivalent of a “mortgage for retirement.” With a lean, high-performance team based in SoHo, NYC, and strong traction across both individual and employer-facing products, this is an opportunity to join early and have a direct impact on building a generational financial platform.The founding team brings deep expertise from high-growth companies such as Uber, Block/Square, Robinhood, Goldman Sachs, and Google.What You Will DoBuild and scale complex backend financial systems, including trading platforms, asset management systems, ledgers, and partner integrations.Shape architecture and design new APIs, services, workflows, and infrastructure from the ground up.Ensure backend systems are secure, reliable, and performant.Collaborate cross-functionally with product and business stakeholders to translate complex systems into scalable, intuitive solutions.Take full ownership of projects, from concept to deployment, within a high-energy and fast-paced environment.Ideal Candidate Background4+ years of professional experience as a full stack or backend-focused software engineer.Proven experience with large-scale, complex backend systems and architecture.Strong expertise in at least one modern backend language: TypeScript, Python, Go, Kotlin, Ruby, or Java.Deep experience with API design, event-driven systems, and distributed system architecture.Background in late-stage startups, recently IPO’d companies, or other high-growth environments.Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or related field.Preferred QualificationsEarly-stage or founding engineer experience.Experience working with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).Familiarity with Kotlin-based backends.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity.High level of ownership—capable of driving projects independently and end-to-end.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary $175k – $275k .Equity package with strong upside.Full healthcare, dental, and vision coverage.Onsite role in a vibrant SoHo office with a small, tight-knit team.Backing from world-class investors and opportunity to be part of a mission-driven company tackling wealth inequality at scale.
