Join the Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) organization today!We are looking for a high-performing Sensor Alignment Software Architect who is responsible for leading the development and design of next generation sensing alignment strategy. This role will involve rapid prototyping, specifying requirements, generating embedded designs to satisfy the alignment requirements for autonomous software applications while determining strategy to fit in a tightly coupled embedded system. This architect will work with both algorithm design engineers as well as implementation engineers to create a comprehensive yet cohesive product.What You'll Do:Develop requirements to determine key performance indicators for sensor alignment to satisfy downstream capabilitiesCreate measurable metrics to assess algorithms to quantify performance against KPIDevise guidelines for software implementation to ensure implementation is viable given hardware constraintsWork on different sensors such as camera, LiDAR, radar, GNSS/IMU etc.Provide technical leadership on the AV and active safety features to personnel supporting the assigned projectSupport the development of sensing software requirementsLead test driven development cycles and maintain high fidelity of code base and ensure code base matches KPI in production environmentWork with system to ensure cohesion between Sensor Alignment deliveries and program requirements.Travel as neededAdditional Job DescriptionYour Skills & Abilities (Qualifications):Master in Computer Science, Robotics, Electric Engineering, or other related fields5+ year’s experience in developing and delivering production embedded software2+ year’s experience in Sensor AlignmentProficient in Python and C++Understanding of Object Orientated ProgrammingUnderstanding of Embedded systems and Real Time Operating SystemsSolid knowledge and understanding of at least one of the following domains:computer vision: feature extraction/matching, SLAM, SFM, VO/VIO, multi-view geometrypoint cloud: feature extraction, registrationstate estimation: Bayesian modeling, signal process, KF/EFK, factor-graph, nonlinear optimization, statistical samplingAbout GMOur vision is a world with Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions and Zero Congestion and we embrace the responsibility to lead the change that will make our world better, safer and more equitable for all.Why Join UsWe aspire to be the most inclusive company in the world.
