Division: CorrectionsProfessional Qualifications:
  • A minimum of one year of recent, continuous experience in a relevant healthcare setting, excluding internships. All clinical skills must be up-to-date.
  • For those interested in specialty areas such as Emergency, Inpatient Care, or Obstetrics, at least one year of specialized experience is required, along with any necessary certifications.
  • Proficiency in English, with excellent communication skills, is essential for effective interaction within the Corrections Facility. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to understand and articulate both oral and written instructions.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive nursing care plans, administer medications and treatments, and support disease prevention efforts under physician orders.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care, assist in medical procedures, and contribute to treatment planning and evaluation.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, monitor progress, and ensure the documentation of all care activities and patient education in medical records.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff, uphold patient privacy, and foster a culture of safety and quality.
Additional Duties:
  • Uphold professional relationships within the administrative team and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
  • Ensure meticulous documentation of patient care, including progress notes and discharge summaries, adhering to the highest standards of accuracy and timeliness.
  • Perform clinical tasks such as obtaining IV access, monitoring vital signs, and managing patient responses to treatment.
  • Engage in continuous learning and attend all relevant meetings to stay informed of clinic policies and healthcare advancements.
