Job Description:We are seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented Junior Infrastructure Engineer in Troy, Ohio to help with the management and enhancement of our IT infrastructure teamResponsibilities include providing level 1 & 2 support and troubleshooting. Helping in managing system configurations, installations, troubleshooting system errors, and ensuring a robust and reliable infrastructureIdeal candidates should have a solid understanding of computer systems, end-user support, network administration, Microsoft tenants, and maintaining hardware and software.This position is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in the infrastructure area while gaining hands-on experience with evolving technologies and processes.Responsibilities
Assist in the design, setup, and maintenance of hardware and software systems
Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks, ensuring they operate efficiently
Analysis, diagnosis and remediation of semi-complex technical issues with hardware and software issues
Enhancement of security processes through access controls, backups, and firewalls
Upgrade systems with new releases and models
Help develop, document and maintain installation and configuration procedures
Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes
Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
Work with executive team members, decision makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements and systems goals, and to identify and resolve business systems issues
Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Problem solvers who are driven, self-motivated, and "outside of the box" thinkers
Proven experience as an IT professional, or relevant role
Familiarity with various Windows operating systems and platforms
Working knowledge of system security practices and data backup/recovery processes
Experience interacting with and supporting cloud services and scripting tools
Desire and interest to develop a career in the manufacturing industry
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Motivated, dependable, and responsible team player
