- Remain knowledgeable of current industry standards and technology. Responsible for staying updated on the state of the art and industry best practices regarding cement plant operations.
- Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
- Learning about planning, budgeting, scheduling and efficient execution of plant projects.
- Assist with facilitation of continuous improvement processes.
- Responsible for communicating maintenance engineering improvement needs within the facility to the maintenance manager.
- Assist with planning of plant outages.
- Assist during critical maintenance plans reviews (PMs, Predictive, critical equipment identification, and enhanced maintenance programs).
- Use of key performance indicators [KPIs] to measure, analyze, develop action plans to improve where needed, and focus the business on raising plant operating performance in key areas as reliability, availability, mean time between failure, % uptime, and maintenance cost per ton.
- Act as technical resource learning about major equipment reliability issues and corrective action steps to protect the assets.
- Participate in assignments to support and learn about other departments such us: Laboratory, Quarry and Production
- Other duties/projects/assignments as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering / Minor Electrical Engineering required.
- Knowledge on Electrical Machinery, Electrical Circuits, Basic Electrical Control Systems
- Computer skills with knowledge of spreadsheet, and word processing software.
- Availability to travel and/or possible relocation where cement plants are based for training purposes and/or to occupy a position at the end of the training period.
