HKA Enterprises is unable to support C2C. 3rd party submissions and C2C requests will not be considered for any positions.HKA is working on behalf of Jacobs, and this role is to support Jacobs’ work through HKAQualifications:MECHANIC - WATER/WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITYMust live 30 minutes from the site.Must be willing to obtain Level 1 wastewater treatment certification within a year of being hired (Paid for)On call rotation requiredKnowledge of the methods, materials, equipment, and tools used in the construction, repair, and operation of engines, pumps, and other mechanical equipment related to wastewater treatment plant operations and proceduresKnowledge of the principles and practices of an effective mechanical, structural, and grounds preventive maintenance program and operations of internal combustion engines and electrical pump motorsBasic electrical knowledge involved in working on pumps, motors, and other equipment; equipment, tools, and materials used in maintaining and repairing wastewater treatment plant and related equipmentDemonstrated experience in safety principles and practices, and related state and federal laws and regulationsResponsibilities:Perform work on major and minor repair work and overhauls on plant's engines, motors, pumps, and related equipmentSchedules work to be done and determines type and quantities of materials needed for such workInspects buildings and equipment for needed maintenance and repairEnsures the proper use and care of tools, materials, and safety equipmentAssures adherence to safety, cleanliness, and fire prevention rules and standardsTunes up engines; sets valve clearances; and cleans and adjusts regulators, gas, and other controls and devicesMaintains and repairs pumps; replaces bearings, valves, seals, and controllers; builds pump mounts and brackets; does welding.Maintains comprehensive log of all maintenance work done on equipmentDetermines remedial action in emergency situations
