- Design, develop, and maintain control systems, instrumentation, and electrical equipment
- Configure, program, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, DCS, and related automation systems
- Develop and review electrical schematics, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and technical drawings
- Support installation, commissioning, and startup of control and electrical systems
- Monitor system performance and perform preventive maintenance to ensure reliability
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for system failures
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to improve system efficiency
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, industry standards, and safety regulations
- Prepare technical documentation, user manuals, and maintenance procedures
- Participate in Management of Change (MOC) reviews and ensure proper documentation of system modifications
- Provide technical support during shutdowns, turnarounds, and emergency troubleshooting
- Other duties as assigned
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, process instrumentation, and automation systems
- Proficiency in PLC/DCS programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Client, or similar)
- Familiarity with CAD tools for electrical design (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, etc.)
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Must be able to speak and write English
- Must be able to legally work in the United States
- This is not a remote position; no relocation assistance is provided
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in controls, instrumentation, or electrical engineering in an industrial environment preferred
- Experience with industrial automation, SCADA systems, or field instrumentation is highly desirable
- Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, ISA, and IEC standards
- PE license or EIT certification is a plus
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a desk or in the field
- Must be able to walk, bend, climb stairs, and access elevated platforms in industrial settings
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection
- Must be able to work in environments with exposure to electrical equipment, noise, and varying temperatures
- Must be able to travel domestically or internationally as required by project needs
- Must be able to respond to operational needs outside of standard business hours when necessary
