- Strategic partner with CEO in developing new service and funding opportunities.
- Oversees the financial planning, accounting, and fiscal management of agency.
- Financial analysis of revenue and expense opportunities, long-range economic trends, projects, and organization growth.
- Develops clear and aligned financial metrics at the Agency, division, and department levels.
- Develops the finance staff through active coaching and empowerment.
- Ensures proper preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.
- Oversees the scheduling and completion of Agency’s independent audit.
- Ensures the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, chart of account and reports.
- Ensures compliance with agency policies and procedures.
- Manages the cash requirements of the agency. Responsible for short and long term forecasting, investments, risk and return analysis, credit and long-term debt payments.
- Oversees the development of the agency budget.
- Reviews monthly financial reports with the President/CEO, Leadership, Finance Committee and Board of Directors.
- Oversees financial aspects of annual report and National reporting.
- Collaborates with the President/CEO, and the Leadership Team in developing and implementing personnel practices, administrative policies and procedures, internal and external communications.
- Role models and coaches analytical problem solving across the organization.
- Maximizes grant revenues by streamlining and integrating grant monitoring and reporting.
- Serves on the Finance Committee.
- MBA (or related graduate level degree); CPA preferred.
- 7 years progressively responsible experience in Financial Management; 3 years in Senior Management role.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical abilities
- Ability to develop financial models for agency initiatives.
- Ability to maintain, and instill in others, a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel; experience with Great Plains software preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, and Access
- Experienced in presenting to Boards and Committees.
- Team player; self-starter, highly ethical.
