- You will be responsible for accurate file preparation and ensuring that all files meet the specified requirements.
- You will create simple designs and you will make minor adjustments to previous designs and client provided art files.
- You will communicate with Account Managers and Clients during the proofing process.
- You will manipulate files, panel layouts, place and nest files for maximum material yield.
- You will thoroughly review orders before proceeding with file preparation.
- You will work directly with Designers, Account Managers, and Print Operators.
- You will open files prepared by the design team and clients, using appropriate software packages.
- You will inspect vector art and photographic images for resolution, accuracy, and sizing.
- You will utilize software to prepare files for final output, optimizing for the best results and minimizing waste.
- Complete all tasks, and to-dos as assigned by your Team Lead.
- Adobe Illustrator experience with heavy emphasis on preflight skills and principles.
- Proficiency in relevant software packages (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
- Proficiency using computers and basic programs (e.g., Microsoft Office, Teams, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in file preparation.
- Be OBSESSIVE about QUALITY and ACCURACY.
- Knowledge of printing processes, color correction, and RIP software is a bonus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Willingness to help other departments and cross train on skills outside of design and preflighting.
- Ability to change gears quickly as needs change.
- Ability to work well alone and with a team.
- Ability to be flexible with hours and scheduling, including nights and weekends when needed.
- Ability to work last minute overtime during emergencies in order to hit deadlines.
- Eager, willing, and open-minded to learning and expanding your knowledge of the graphics industry.
