💲 Pay: $80-107/hr depending on education and experienceAdecco Healthcare and Life Sciences has partnered with a leading pharmaceutical company in Cambridge, MA that is seeking a highly motivated and innovative Scientist to join the Target, Disease & Systems Biology (TDSB) team.In this fully onsite, lab-based role, you will collaborate with the Pre-clinical Omics Research team to:Investigate disease biologyUncover novel pathways and mechanismsIdentify strategies to address unmet medical needs across therapeutic areasThis is an exciting opportunity to apply cutting-edge molecular biology and spatial technologies to advance therapeutic discovery. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in bulk RNA-seq, single-cell/single-nucleus RNA-seq (sc/snRNA-seq), spatial transcriptomics, and spatial proteomics-along with scientific curiosity and problem-solving skills-to deliver impactful research.We are seeking someone who can independently design and execute experiments, analyze and interpret complex datasets, and effectively communicate results to both technical and non-technical audiences. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, creativity in experimental design, and meticulous attention to detail.Key ResponsibilitiesExperimental Design & Execution: Conduct bulk RNA-seq, sc/snRNA-seq, NGS, and spatial assays (GeoMx, Visium, Xenium, Phenocycler-Fusion); optimize and troubleshoot protocols.Data Analysis & Interpretation: Collaborate with bioinformatics teams on high-dimensional omics data; interpret results to guide target identification and validation.Technology Development & Innovation: Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to developing novel workflows and platforms.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with scientists across biology, chemistry, and computational disciplines; present findings in team meetings.Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records and prepare technical reports, summaries, and presentations.QualificationsEducation: Master's or Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Genomics, or related field.Experience: 3-5 years in academia or industry, with expertise in transcriptomics and spatial biology.Required Expertise:scRNA-seq and snRNA-seqBulk RNA-seqNext-Generation Sequencing (NGS)Preferred Expertise:Spatial transcriptomics (10x Genomics Visium/Xenium, NanoString GeoMx)Spatial proteomics (Akoya CODEX/Phenocycler-Fusion)Tissue handling, imaging, histologyFamiliarity with bioinformatics tools/pipelinesAdditional Skills:Strong problem-solving and scientific curiosityAbility to work both independently and collaborativelyExcellent communication, presentation, and organizational skillsBenefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
