- Serve as Principal Instructor for the majority of courses in the Bachelor of Science in Project Management, an undergraduate degree-completion program.
- In conjunction with the Faculty Lead, develop and implement course learning outcomes, curriculum maps, resource guides, textbooks, syllabi templates, and updated course materials; includes region specific coursework as desired.
- Oversee the instruction of specific courses within the curriculum. Responsibilities include supporting the Faculty Lead in the selection of part-time instructors, advising on syllabi, and evaluating part-time instructor performance.
- Identify and provide recommendations to keep curriculum relevant and industry leading.
- Work with the Faculty Lead to ensure regional programs meet license/accreditation requirements and participate in comprehensive regional evaluations and periodic reviews.
- In collaboration with the Faculty Lead, create modularity guidelines and recommendations for program content integration across the programs and regional campuses.
- Program Representation
- Leverage professional networks and create local events to increase program, college, & University brand.
- Create and provide oversight of program/industry advisory boards.
- Represent the program in regional campus meetings, special events, open houses, and orientations.
- Represent program in regional accreditation reviews and renewals.
- Act as the third line of support for regional student curriculum/faculty escalations (supporting program's Faculty Lead and course Principal Instructor).
- Serve as faculty sponsor for student-led events and networking opportunities.
- Recruit and vet qualified candidates for part-time faculty positions, coordinate with Faculty Lead for secondary interviews and to complete the hiring process with HR.
- Join campus onboarding meetings for new faculty to provide a face for the program.
- Participating in program and faculty committee meetings as applicable.
- Serving on committees that support the mission of the program and the vision of the College and wider University.
- In addition to supporting the Seattle, WA, campus, occasional travel may be required to the University’s Campuses in Boston, Seattle, Toronto, Portland, ME, Arlington, and/or Charlotte.
- Examples of required travel include the annual CPS Graduation and Faculty Conference.
- The potential for transnational work is also possible.
- A terminal degree from an accredited institution either in project management or a related field by appointment start date.
- An active Project Management Professional (PMP®) or similar credential.
- 10+ years of professional experience at the project manager level.
- Demonstrated understanding of the broader project management community and the range of project management maturity levels of organizations.
- Demonstrate a dedication to continued improvement as an educator and a desire to align with the scholar-practitioner model.
- It is highly desirable that candidates have a track record of presenting to Project Management Chapters, Interest Groups, and other Industry groups on project management topics.
- It is also highly desirable for candidates to have experience managing artificial intelligence (AI) and/or information technology (IT) projects using agile ways of working.
