- Oversee and manage core accounting functions, including cash management, fixed assets, general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
- Consolidate and analyze financial data to provide accurate reporting of business performance.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger while maintaining robust internal controls and compliance with accounting policies.
- Prepare and present monthly financial statements to senior management, offering clear insights into company performance.
- Monitor and validate the accuracy of the Work in Progress (WIP) schedule during month-end close.
- Develop, track, and communicate monthly and annual operating budgets in collaboration with leadership.
- Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard the financial infrastructure.
- Supervise cash flow and working capital to ensure efficient billing and collections processes.
- Complete and submit required paperwork, reports, and statements to federal and state regulatory agencies.
- Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned by senior financial leadership.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Controller or similar financial management role.
- Proficiency in managing general ledger processes and monthly financial close activities.
- Solid understanding of cash management, fixed assets, and payroll operations.
- Experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
- Strong expertise in financial reporting and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with Work in Progress (WIP) schedules and construction accounting practices.
- Ability to develop and implement internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and security.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills to present financial data effectively.
