Position Highlights:SIGN-ON BONUS: $20,000Location: Edward Hospital, Naperville, ILFull Time/Part Time: Full-Time, 30 hours weeklyHours: Three 10-hour shifts per week, 8:00PM to 6:30AM or 8:30PM to 7:00AMOn-Call: 1-2 shifts per monthWeekends: Every other weekendHolidays: 1-2 shifts per yearWhat you will need:High School Diploma or GEDKnowledge of all current American College of Radiology(ACR)/JCAHO requirements in order to maintain compliance with all rules and regulationsA minimum of an Associate’s Degree or higher, preferredPrior x-ray experience in a surgical environment, preferredIEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure or “notice of IEMA compliance and authorization to perform medical radiation”At a minimum, must be a candidate for ARRT(R) (American Registry of Radiological Technology) certification (i.e., Certificate of Program Completion or a letter from the Radiology Program Director of the accredited school.).Certificate of Completion or a letter from the Radiology Program Director from the Radiology School attended.Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red CrossWhat you will do:Operates a variety of radiology equipment to produce radiographs of the body for diagnostic purposes as directed by the Radiologists, in accordance to established protocols. Assists physicians and other clinical staff with obtaining films, images, and other records using the Radiology PACS or hospital information systems. Explains procedure to patients, giving opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.
