
Crane Operator

- Operate crane controls to unload logs from trucks and load surge decks
- Separate logs by species and age while ensuring the cribs remains balanced and level
- Rotate the log yard, always start with oldest wood first
- Frequently communicate with Strander Operator and Log Truck Driver
- Coordinate operations amongst coworkers
- Inspect and perform routine maintenance on equipment
- Fill out and maintain all required documentation
- Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations
- Knowledge of simple equipment operation.
- Knowledge of general equipment maintenance.
- Time management skills.
- Demonstrated mechanical ability.
- Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years crane operator experience
- Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
