Provide technical support for production areas as required to achieve quality, productivity, and waste goals.
Optimizes production processes by studying current operating conditions, quality, returns and historical data. Implements processing improvements by coordinating with Production. Ensures corporate standards are followed and issues temporary deviations when necessary. Follows 3M trials involving changes to any production process, method, materials, or machine and documents results. Assists in the maintenance of plant process and product specifications through the Tire Engineering Specification System (TESS) or the Compound Formula System.
Provides support to production by participating in regularly scheduled meetings to review safety, quality, productivity, NOT, and waste. Responds to requests from production area for technical assistance in solving machine or process issues. Provides technical leadership for the startup of new processes or equipment and for modifications and improvements of existing production equipment. Leads efforts to improve bekidou/utilization trends.
Process Specifications
Maintain process specifications for all processes, including review of all spec changes.
Supervise Trials
