- Provide close protection and other security-related functions for Leidos executives during domestic and/or international movements
- Drive executives to events and appointments
- Perform protective advance fieldwork and on-site threat vulnerability assessments
- Assist in coordination of event security with Leidos Chief of Staff, Executive Assistants, Facilities, Security, and Events Team
- Conduct liaison with law enforcement agencies, government agencies, other executive protection staffs, and risk management companies as necessary
- Respond to emergencies and perform initial first aid response, as needed
- Deescalate tense situations or individuals
- Communicate vulnerabilities or safety concerns in a timely manner
- Complete suspicious activity, travel, and expense reports, timecards, and other administrative requirements in a timely manner
- Operate and maintain protective operations and communications equipment, including vehicles, promptly identifying and escalating deficiencies or failures
- Assist with risk, threat, and vulnerability assessments and development of emergency response plans related to executives, the Board of Directors, and Leidos facilities as required
- High School diploma with 6+ years of executive protection experience or law enforcement
- Possess a current Driver's License with a clean driving record
- A valid passport, willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally, and qualify for the Department of Homeland Security’s Global Entry Program
- Basic first-aid knowledge and CPR certification
- Meet all Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) Personal Protection Specialist requirements
- Have or be able to achieve successful Viriginia DCJS certifications in armed and unarmed personal protection specialist as well as basic and advanced handgun
- Meet the qualifications for Law Enforcement Officer Safety Act, HR218, or Virginia concealed handgun permit
- Formal training in executive protection and knowledge of police unarmed self-defense tactics
- Defensive driving tactics training and experience
- Ability to maintain composure when interacting with authorities, executives, clients, staff, and the public, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in high-pressure situations
- Physically fit and able to provide protective coverage involving physically taxing activities
- Effective oral and written communications skills
- Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction or supervision
- Ability to work overtime, including weekends, as required
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or completion of formal course work leading to executive protection certification
- Active First Responder, Paramedic, or EMT certifications
- Experience with access control, alarm systems, and security cameras
- Top Secret Security Clearance
- Firearms instructor training
- Technical Surveillance Countermeasures experience
- Experience dealing with workplace violence issues and training
