Interns will gain hands-on experience in digital solutions, data modeling, and process improvement initiatives that support smart factory transformation. This role offers exposure to both technical and strategic projects while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. By the end of the internship, interns will have developed invaluable skills that strengthen their academic and career pathways.Internship Details:

The program will be a full-time paid summer internship working for Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America onsite in DeSoto, KS
Must be able to attend the entirety of the internship

Essential Duties:Digital Transformation Projects:
Support projects, programs, and improvement initiatives in the digital transformation area
Work on elements of manufacturing digital solutions to enhance operational effectiveness
Data Analysis & Modeling:
Analyze and organize data to identify trends and prioritize impactful focus areas
Create enterprise data models to standardize naming conventions and illustrate data relationships
Perform business impact analyses of Smart Factory initiatives
Documentation & Standardization:
Update and maintain digital system and process documentation to support standardization and knowledge sharing
Collaboration & Innovation:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other interns to share best practices and leverage new ideas
Provide fresh perspectives by offering improvement suggestions that challenge existing processes
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:
To ensure health and safety in the workplace and for employee protection, wearing PPE is a possibility and includes equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator. A respirator fit test will be required based on functional area.

Basic knowledge of project management processes and tools
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to apply logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of practical problems
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English
