A Traffic Control Technician within each division is responsible for the day-to-day setup and removal of traffic control equipment in work zones. Ensuring the project is accomplished accurately and safely.Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Work as a team with all crew members to accomplish the set-up or removal of all project plans, including but not limited to maintaining.
  • Ability to work as a flagger on projects for various road conditions while maintaining safety and flagger responsibilities.
  • Responsible for loading and unloading equipment onto and off work vehicles.
  • Working along the highway setting up traffic control closures & signing both temporary and permanent.
  • Placement of all signs, traffic cones/drums, message boards, and arrow boards per the specifications of each project plan.
  • Communicate with the Foreman about any conflicts in setting up or removing a project or existing field conditions.
  • As well as other duties as assigned.

  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Must pass a DOT Physical and Drug Screen.

  • This position requires working nights, weekends, and out-of-town to work on projects that could be a week(s) at a time.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
