Phase I Assessor - Project Consultant – Due DiligenceBerkley, MichiganPOSITON SUMMARY:PM Environmental, a Pinchin Company, is seeking a Project Consultant to join our Due Diligence team in our Berkley, Michigan office. As a Project Consultant, you will play a key role in evaluating properties for potential environmental risks and liabilities.PRIMARY FUNCTIONSThe Project Consultant is responsible for the following primary functions:
  • Completion of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) in accordance with ASTM E1527 and related environmental due diligence projects.
  • Work directly with clients and stakeholders to understand and manage the project goals, timeline, and milestones.
  • Manage project profitability by ensuring appropriate budgeting/pricing and utilization of resources and cost controls.
  • Be a public relations ambassador by being proactive in presenting and communicating the capabilities and strengths of the company to all publics.
  • Communicate and present potential new business or resource information, competitive situations, or technology/regulatory factors to Due Diligence leadership.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Environmental Consulting; experience with Phase I ESAs Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Ability to work in various settings and climates.
  • Must have strong organizational skills.
  • Must have keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and be available for travel.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screen.
  • Requires frequent bending, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout the work shift.
