- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Programming, Computer Technology or a related field.
- Six (6) years of experience in information systems design/administration, computer science analysis or computer programming.
- Three (3) yeas of administrative and supervisory responsibility.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Candidate selected for hire must pass a CJIS background check (see below for details).
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure management including project management; cybersecurity hardware/software management and support; and regulatory compliance activities.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification
- Demonstrate interchangeable skills that allow professional support in the operations of IT infrastructure that provides for robust system support and comprehensive business support; data center operations; server and virtualization; data network communications; cybersecurity hardware/software; digital and analog voice communications.
- Possess knowledge of technology procurement and vendor management.
- Communicates with other divisions within IT Solutions, key stakeholders from departments, and vendor support to design, develop, and implement technology solutions.
- Directs the activities of the division; which includes planning, coordinating, administering, and evaluating programs, projects, processes, procedures, systems, standards and/or service offerings; ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, codes, and/or standards.
- Supervises staff, which includes prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff is trained; ensuring employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a healthy and safe working environment; and, making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.
- Assess existing systems to identify areas for improvement and determine whether new technologies are needed to address inefficiencies or enhance performance. Ensure that technology investments and decisions support the organization's objectives.
- Participate in the development and monitoring of divisional budget. Performs research and creates reports specific to departmental programmatic operations; analyzes efficiency, and compliance for auditing, including city of Fort Worth rules and regulations.
- Establishes the divisions strategic goals, vision, business objectives, and tactical plans.
- Demonstrates flexibility to focus on the necessary level and schedule capacity needed to support a 7x24x365 environment.
