AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.AWS Industry Products (AWS IP) is seeking a UX Designer to join our growing design and research team. We are looking for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced startup-like environment and have a passion for solving complex problems at a massive scale.AWS IP is an AWS engineering organization chartered to build industry-specific products by diving deep with industry innovation leaders to unblock entire industries from new business models, step changes in efficiency, and transformative business outcomes. In this role you will work directly with product and engineering in collaboration with global industry partners. You will turn technical and abstract concepts into compelling and meaningful user experiences in the context of ambiguous and evolving understandings of customer needs.
This position requires customer focus, the ability to dive deep and invent, and the ability to make hard decisions quickly.As a UX Designer, you will:
  • Design developer experiences and cloud-based software management services for the automotive industry.
  • Create end-to-end user experiences that are useful, usable, and desirable.
  • Understand and advocate for customers and their needs through research and the design and development of solutions.
  • Integrate business requirements and market research to assist in developing use cases and high-level design requirements.
  • Design information architecture, user interface, and interaction flow of services and experiences.
  • Develop personas, customer journey maps, conceptual diagrams, wireframes, and prototypes.
  • Facilitate design processes, present to stakeholders, and iterate on designs based on feedback and user research.
  • Develop and maintain detailed user interface specifications for developer handoff.
  • Contribute to product management and engineering to instill best practices throughout a customer's journey.
  • Chart a course for yourself in ambiguous situations.
  • Mentor and assist junior designers.

- 3+ years of delivering design solutions as a UX designer or interaction designer experience
- Have an available online portfolio
- Experience acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps
- Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, InVision, or similarPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience guiding or managing user research and usability testing
- Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
