The ideal candidate will have experience working with a diverse student population and a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment. The teacher will be responsible for designing and implementing instructional programs that meet the needs of our students while adhering to NYS Learning Standards.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with NYS standards and support students' academic and social-emotional growth
Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles, cultural backgrounds, and abilities
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student success
Utilize assessment data to inform instruction and monitor student progress
Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families to ensure a holistic approach to student learning
Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies into daily instruction
Maintain accurate records, including attendance, student performance, and parent communication
Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS:
NYS Early Childhood B-2 and Childhood Education 1-6 certificates
Prior experience in an elementary setting preferred
Experience working with students with disabilities is preferred
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to foster a positive learning environment
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Must be fingerprinted through the NYS Department of Education prior to start of employment
