MaintenanceJob Summary:The Coordinator, Mechanical Maintenance leads the planning, execution, and oversight of mechanical maintenance projects and inspections across CF Industries' Distribution Facilities. This role ensures operational reliability through regular and ad hoc technical inspections, audits, upgrades, and maintenance activities.Job Description:Key Job Elements:
- Performs or manages maintenance on critical mechanical equipment and infrastructure at Distribution Facilities, with specialized expertise related to fixed and rotating Industrial refrigeration equipment including, process piping, pressure vessels, low pressure storage tanks (LPST), pumps and compressors.
- Provide technical expertise and recommendations in support of all maintenance related inspections and projects.
- Readily available to support the mechanical maintenance needs of each facility, providing both remote consultation and on-site assistance for routine and emergency equipment repairs.
- Provides strong leadership in coordinating mechanical maintenance across Distribution Facilities by guiding cross-functional teams, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring timely, cost-effective execution of repairs to maintain operational reliability.
- Provides on-site training (as needed) to Distribution personnel in mechanical equipment inspection and maintenance, enhancing team competency in identifying issues, performing repairs, and sustaining equipment reliability.
- Leads safety initiatives, optimizes resource allocation, and drives continuous improvement through structured planning, predictive maintenance strategies, and collaborative problem-solving-ensuring high standards of reliability and performance across Distribution Facilities.
- Collaborate closely with each Distribution Facility to develop and implement effective maintenance activities, including programmed maintenance plans, record-keeping practices, and emergency response procedures.
- Communicates maintenance activities and terminal status to leadership, ensuring alignment, transparency, and timely updates across all Distribution Facilities.
- Collaborates with vendors and contractors to develop clear job scopes and maintenance plans. Oversee on-site and off-site work, ensuring contractors operate safely and meet performance standards through effective supervision and communication.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in plant mechanical maintenance or a closely related field, demonstrating mechanical aptitude through tasks such as diagnosing and repair of fixed and rotating equipment. Experience should include interpreting technical documentation, manage preventive maintenance schedules, and apply root cause analysis to recurring equipment issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with the ability to create, edit, and manage documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and communications effectively.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), such as SAP, with the ability to create, track, and analyze work orders, maintenance schedules, and equipment history to support efficient and data-driven maintenance operations.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory and industrial codes governing mechanical repair, construction, and inspection-including API 510, API 570, API 653, ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, NBIC, and local jurisdictional standards. Proficiency in integrating these codes into maintenance planning, inspection protocols, and repair execution is essential for ensuring compliance, safety, and mechanical integrity across Distribution Facilities
- Prior project management experience: Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and execute maintenance or capital projects, including scope development, scheduling, resource allocation, and contractor oversight.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills: Effectively conveys technical information, collaborates across departments, and builds productive relationships with internal teams and external partners.
- Ability to obtain a passport and/or a temporary residence permit to travel to Canada on an as-needed basis.
