- Prepare and cook nutritious meals in large quantities according to predetermined menus and recipes
- Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet established standards
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Manage food inventory and assist with ordering supplies
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service
- Adapt menus to accommodate dietary restrictions and special requirements
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment
- Follow food safety and hygiene protocols
- Proven experience as a cook in institutional or large-scale catering settings
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
- Understanding of nutritional guidelines and dietary restrictions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Food Safety Certification (e.g., ServSafe)
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working in a hot kitchen environment
