- A professional degree in Architecture (Bachelor's or Master's); with an architectural license.
- 8-15+ years of relevant post-graduate experience in architectural practice.
- A deep understanding of NYC zoning resolution, building codes, construction standards and building structures.
- Experience in mixed-use mid-or high-rise developments with- especially in NYC multi-family residential/commercial- is highly valued.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Bluebeam, and Excel.
- Strong coordination skills when working with sub-consultants across disciplines.
- The ability to contribute to project planning through the preparation of schedules and fee proposals.
- Lead meetings and document meeting minutes accurately.
- Strong technical skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility and resilience when approaching complex or evolving challenges.
- The ability to communicate design ideas clearly- both visually and verbally.
- Knowledge of construction methods and experience in construction administration in particularly within NYC.
- A commitment to supporting, mentoring, and guiding junior studio members in their professional growth.
- Experience with technically sophisticated envelope systems.
- Direct and organize workflow and tasks to be performed by Intermediate Architects, as well as junior team members, in collaboration with project designers.
- Direct development of working drawing sets through all phases of design and overseeing the work of the project team using Revit and Rhino.
- Review client's stated construction budget and steer development of documents to align with budget goals.
- Manage Sub-Consultant deliverables and scope of work from schematic design through construction administration phases.
- Support the Principals and Project Manager in client and consultant meetings and represent the firm in their absence.
- Review contracts for design deliverables required of the project team.
- Recognize and limit risk exposure to the firm through evaluation of project contract, site conditions, and parameters.
- Review all work product for technical and design accuracy prior to issuance.
- Assist Principals and Project Managers in creating and maintaining project schedules and scope of work.
