This position is hybrid and has work from home flexibility.Position Summary:Do you have experience developing pricing strategies for professional services? Do you thrive on producing financial models? Then our Client Value Data Analyst opening might be just the position for you! This role is perfect for the individual who enjoys developing pricing and reporting mechanisms for tracking purposes. Utilize your desire to excel in delivering business value through data-driven analysis and collaboration to have an immediate impact on Benesch and its overall success.The Client Value Data Analyst assists the Client Value Analytics Manager and Pricing Manager in developing and implementing the firm's client value and pricing strategies. This function includes the development of models used for data analysis, and pricing and reporting mechanisms to track and evaluate pricing and project management efforts. This position requires continued learning by keeping pace with developments in the legal industry related to pricing, profitability, technology, and data analysis.Essential Functions: * Recognizes firmwide data service channels and documents best practices for delivering data projects and products, including helping to create and implement quality control and assurance processes for the Client Value team.
  • Supports the development and maintenance of pricing models and templates under the guidance of the Client Value Data Analytics Manager.
  • Develops tools to streamline the monitoring and management of diverse fee structures and rate exceptions.
  • Prepares and validates financial and operational data for attorney-facing reports, pricing proposals, and client presentations.
  • Assists in post-matter analysis by gathering and organizing data to evaluate performance, profitability, and budget adherence.
  • Collaborates with IT to implement tools and templates that enhance pricing, budgeting, and reporting workflows.
  • Maintains data integrity across client and matter records, ensuring accuracy and consistency, particularly with alternative fee arrangements.
  • Applies quality control processes to all analytics deliverables and supports the documentation of best practices for data handling and reporting.
  • Identifies opportunities for automation and efficiency, contributing to continuous improvement of data analytics processes.
  • Leads bill-at-close matter analysis to confirm invoiced amounts and conducts financial performance assessments of completed matters.
  • Establishes guidelines for planning and executing data projects and products for both internal and external clients.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications:The Client Value Data Analyst is a driven professional with a strong foundation in data analytics, finance, or economics, and experience applying these skills in legal or financial settings. Proficient in Microsoft Office, BI tools (Power BI, Tableau), and data presentation platforms. Ability to transform complex data into clear, actionable insights. Must have sharp analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication in order to excel in fast-paced environments by managing shifting priorities and supporting forecasting.Benesch is an equal opportunity employer.
