Location: Blythewood, SCDepartment: ConvertingReports To: Manufacturing Manager/Department SupervisorFLSA Status: Hourly Non-ExemptPosition Summary:The Material Handler supports manufacturing operations by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of raw materials, components, and finished goods throughout the production facility. This role plays a critical part in maintaining production flow, inventory accuracy, and workplace safety.Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform cycle counts in designated areas including Curby, Prefold, and Lemu.
  • Move finished goods from protective packaging to the shipping area, including wrapping pallets for transport.
  • Transport raw materials to production lines as needed.
  • Operate a clamp truck and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain the sustainability area by: Making bales of recyclable materials, separating good vs. bad cores and keeping accurate records of recycling numbers.
  • Support general housekeeping and cleanliness of the work area.
  • Load and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
  • Stage materials for production according to work orders and schedules.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies.
  • Assist with receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of material movements using ERP or warehouse management systems.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and logistics teams to resolve material-related issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
  • Forklift and clamp truck certification are preferred.
  • Familiarity with inventory systems and basic computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment:Manufacturing floor and warehouse setting with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Use of PPE required (e.g., safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots).Job Posted by ApplicantPro
