- Support team of engineers within the engineering function of operations tasked with installing, upgrading, or modifying plant assets and infrastructure.
- Build high performing teams through effectively coaching the team management skills: setting and achieving goals, conflict resolution, continual improvement mentality, fact-based decision making, use of data for process control, adherence to work instructions and control plans, etc.
- Lead projects and the development of world class 5S practices
- Develop long-term strategies for the engineering organization to align with future goals of operations.
- Ensure activities are properly scoped and that machine center downtime is kept to a minimum.
- Work with local maintenance and global reliability departments to strive for world class uptime.
- Oversee Root Cause Analysis and track corrective actions.
- Evaluate opportunities to invest capital funds.
- Aid in development of 5-year Capital Project Plan and oversee execution
- Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of experience in an engineering or technological role.
- Effective organizational skills and ability to work with various levels of the organization.
- Excellent leadership skills and good interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Be role model for leading and developing a positive, team-oriented culture.
- Ability to drive accountability.
- Fundamental understanding of financial analysis associated with project justifications.
- Experienced in project management and able to write specifications and facilitate bids from contractors and suppliers.
- Proficiency in the fundamentals of equipment reliability.
- Ability to solve and perform root-cause-analysis on equipment and process issues.
- Fundamental knowledge of AutoCAD, with the ability to make minor changes to drawings.
- 3 years of experience in a team-based management or leadership role
- Proficiency in Computer Software – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, SAP
