- Completing an assigned engineering project during the term of the internship
- Contributing to several ongoing R&D engineering projects
- Experience with and exposure to supporting the Project Management Life Cycle, including:
- Preparation of project specifications and requirements
- Project schedule coordination and utilization of Project Management tools
- Project execution, project closing activities, and sustainability initiatives
- Valuable insight into large-scale manufacturing facilities, equipment, and safe working practices
- 3D Modeling or Simulation Modeling - to predict process/material interactions
- Exposure to Sorting, conveying, combustion, sanding, fluid, and pneumatic transfer systems
- Outside-of-the-Box thinker
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Capability to build and nurture relationships with other functions within AWI
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- A track record of leadership through work, school, or extra-curricular activities
- Must be currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) at an ABET accredited program AND be a maximum of 24 months away from graduation
- Minimum 3.0 GPA (cumulative, and within major)
- Previous internship in a manufacturing or R&D environment
- Autodesk 3D Modeling
- Autodesk Simulation experience
