Job DetailsUnder the direction of corporate pharmacy director, the 340b pharmacy analyst is responsible for ensuring compliance with 340B program in 2 Catholic Health hospitals as well as achieving maximum potential from the 340b program.Knowledge, skills and competencies:
- Typing skills required to operate computer. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds to perform stock work.
- Verbal communications skills required to discuss work issues and tasks with co-workers
- General knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and products
- Ensures 340b program meets all primary objectives: compliance, maximum participation, and efficiency of 340B related processes
- Reviews and refines monthly 340B cost savings report, detailing purchasing and replacement practices, as well as dispensing patterns.
- Ensures standardized processes for monitoring CDM/NDC split billing software crosswalk for additions, changes and accuracy of billing processes.
- Monitors utilization records and purchasing accounts, in order to ensure that billing extract data and split billing software are working appropriately.
- Evaluates and corrects problems with accumulations or purchases.
- Provides oversight and assurance that qualifications for program are both met and maintained, program is fully implemented in all areas of qualified use, and related records are both accurate and complete.
- Procurement, clerical and billing services for Outpatient Services (i.e. clinics, infusion center)-management of medication procurement, storage, distribution, purchasing, inventory control and charges of all medications and related items stocked for the Outpatient Services in the pharmacy department, in accordance with established policy and procedures.
- Position includes handling and managing expired medications, answering and directing phone calls, handling drug shortages and recalls.
- The Purchasing manager assists in the department’s compliance with all state and federal regulatory bodies.
- Required qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Has successfully passed the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Examination (PTCB)
- Has 340b Apexus Advanced Operations Certificate
- Minimum of 5 years 340b pharmacy experience
- Preferred qualifications:
- Associate's degree (Healthcare, Business or a related field) preferred
- Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
