ResponsibilitiesPeraton requires a Systems Security Administrator to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3. This position is located at the SOCOM Headquarters at MacDill, AFB FL.The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.The Systems Security Administrator plays a pivotal role within our IT Infrastructure team. This role must demonstrate technical knowledge of data systems and security procedures, along with familiarity in systems hardware and software. This role requires staying current on industry security trends, emerging developments, and all applicable Government regulations to ensure compliance and maintain a secure operating environment.Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Management of a SIEM (Splunk, ArcSight) or Management of an Enterprise Tenable Security Center deployment
  • Monitoring systems security and responding to security incidents
  • Participating in security systems testing
  • Ensuring integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data
  • Preventing and detecting intrusion
  • Security tool usage and maintenance: Nessus, Core Impact, ACAS, Splunk, Yara, Open IOC, or other host-based signatures
  • Provide inputs or reviews on command IA or Cyber Security policies, or procedures
QualificationsRequired qualifications:
  • Min 12 years with HS Diploma, 10 years with AS/AA degree, 8 years with BS/BA, 6 years with MS/MA, or 3 years with PHD
  • Experience as a Systems Administrator or experience supporting complex end user desktop and mobile device support.
  • DoDD 8570.01-M IAT II
  • TS/SCI clearance is required
Desired qualifications:
  • Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin (highly desired for Splunk Admin)
  • Tenable SC Certificate of Proficiency (highly desired for ACAS Security Center Admin)
