Position OverviewThe Community Program Coordinator III plays a key role within the MKE L.O.S.S. (Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors) Postvention Program — the first of its kind in Wisconsin. Learn more about the program .This role provides direct outreach and emotional support to individuals impacted by suicide loss, connecting them to community resources while also contributing to groundbreaking research aimed at improving postvention practices statewide. Coordinators support survivors in the days, weeks, and months after a suicide loss, providing trauma-informed care and helping to shape a more responsive public health approach to suicide prevention and healing.If you're looking to join a compassionate team with a strong sense of purpose, this position offers both meaningful community connection and opportunities for professional growth in the fields of public health and trauma response.ResponsibilitiesProvide trauma-informed outreach to individuals affected by suicide loss, using phone, text, and email to offer emotional support and navigate resources.Assist in research efforts by enrolling participants and conducting phone-based surveys and interviews for data collection.Collaborate on the development of outreach, education, and training materials, including content for partners and stakeholders across Wisconsin.Track, analyze, and report program outcomes to internal teams and external stakeholders.Serve as a liaison to community organizations, supporting coalition meetings and technical assistance across partner sites.Maintain accurate documentation and help manage program files and research data.Support outreach strategies designed to reach underrepresented communities and foster equitable access to services.Participate in regular team meetings, debrief sessions, and ongoing professional development opportunities.Preferred Schedule:
