We are seeking a Safety Manager to provide short-term safety oversight for a specialized mining project in Kennecott, UT. This role is ideal for professionals with strong MSHA experience who can manage safety compliance and enforce protocols in an active mining environment.Compensation💲 Rate: $47–$49/hour (based on experience)
🍽 Per Diem: $150/day provided
💸 Pay Frequency: WeeklySchedule🕒 Hours: 12 hours/day
📅 Schedule: 7 days/week for 2 weeksProject ScopeThe Safety Manager will oversee safety operations for the feed end trunnion and housing replacement on a 20' x 30' ball mill.Responsibilities include:Daily site walks and hazard recognitionMonitoring crew compliance with MSHA and site-specific training requirementsConducting toolbox talks and safety meetingsCompleting daily safety reports and documentationEnforcing lockout/tagout and confined space protocolsOverseeing fall protection and elevated work activitiesCoordinating emergency response readiness and site safety programsSupporting rigging, crane, and heavy equipment operations with safety oversightQualifications✅ 3–5 years of MSHA experience with mining and milling operations
✅ Site-specific training and knowledge of heavy industrial environments
✅ 3–5 years of general safety management experience in mining, heavy civil, or industrial construction
