Build your future with Project Solutions, Inc.Position/Project Overview:Project Solutions Inc. is seeking a Senior Construction Representative to join a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) project in Grand Rivers, KY. The role will deliver field construction inspection services in support of a USACE hydroelectric dam project site rehabilitation. Perform Quality Assurance requirements, review and observe contractor’s USACE 3-phase quality control system, review complex submittals and RFI’s, participate in AHA, risk management, and EM 385-1-1 safety and health factors in rehabilitation of four (4) hydroelectric power generation producing 32,500 kwh.This role is contingent upon award of project.Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Field inspections to determine acceptability of workmanship and compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Interpretation of plans and specifications and review of as-built drawings.
  • Reviewing contractor daily quality control reports for accuracy, deficiencies, and performing quality assurance inspections.
  • Familiarity with EM 385-1-1 (USACE Safety and Health Requirements Manual) and 29 CFR 1926 OSHA
  • Construction Industry Regulations.
Required Education, Knowledge and Skills:
  • High school diploma
  • Minimum of five (15) years of relevant construction and/or engineering work experience demonstrating knowledge and experience in construction management.
  • Relevant experience on projects involving similar scope of work preferred.
  • OSHA 30 construction safety training.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, schedules, and other specifications.
  • Written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
  • Maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment on large, complex construction projects.
  • Ability to walk or climb on a daily basis to observe contract performance.
  • Must be able to physically operate a motor vehicle without danger to self or to others.
