Donald L. Mooney Enterprises, LLC dba NURSES Etc STAFFING is sourcing for qualified Dental Assistant for the United States Penitentiary and Satellite Prison Camp located in Inez Kentucky .Description of ResponsibilitiesAll duties shall be performed in accordance with standards and methods generally accepted within the field of dental assistant services, and compliance with all Federal and State policy and regulations. The contractor shall adhere to all standards and regulations associated with the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Healthcare (AAAHC) and the American Correctional Association Foundation/Core Standards for Adult Correctional Institutions. The contractor's performance shall be monitored by the COR. The contractor must have the ability to work with an inmate population from a variety of cultural, regional, racial and ethnic backgrounds. The contractor shall be responsible for, but not limited to:The contractor will:Assist the dentist during dental procedures, assist in maintaining accountability and sterilization of instruments, become proficient in BEMR (the inmate electronic medical record), conduct him/herself in a professional manner around inmates, and any other tasks deemed necessary by the dentist while adhering to the general practice of a dental assistant. The contractor will maintain certification in Basic Life Support (CPR) without any lapse in certification and will provide the COR with a copy of current certification.Education and QualificationsThe individual providing dental assistant services under this BPA award must have had formal training as a dental assistant with at least two years documented experience or hold current certification in this area. If the contractor has obtained certification in the field of dental assistant, he/she must obtain the required continuing education to maintain the certification, and must provide the COR a copy of the updated current certification. The Contractor(s) must specifically identify the individual that will be performing these services under any subsequent BPA award. The Contractor(s) must provide proof that their candidate meets all qualifications. The candidate's name and qualifications must be submitted at the time the quote is submitted. Contractor(s) must submit with their quote a resume, photocopies of documents evidencing education and training.Schedule:
Will normally work Monday through Friday (except Federal holidays), from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a thirty (30) minute unpaid lunch period. A session will equal one (1) hour and the facility is expected to require an average of 40 sessions per week.
