You are organized, focused, self directed and proactive.Overview:Float is a multidisciplinary, full-service interior design studio that creates spaces, products, and interior identities for workplaces, hospitality, retail, residential and commercial environments.Vastly experienced, highly collaborative, and open-minded, our studio builds relationships with clients through in-depth discovery and considered design direction.Responsibilities:Work with senior interior designer on all phases of design.Provide both ad-hoc and project specific support to the interior design team.Set up files and organization for new projects * Provide material and product research, sourcing and vendor coordination
  • Conduct site surveys and draft existing conditions in Revit.
Research and source finishes, fixtures and materials, generating fixture and finish schedules and placeholder budgets based on existing templatesUpkeep material and resource library (digital & physical)Gain familiarity with the firm's brand guidelines, resources, and standardsDevelop documents and design presentations for internal and client reviews (i.e. FF&E presentation, development of interior elevations, floor plans, furniture plans, concept documents)Assist in design development process including plans, elevations, and custom furniture itemsUse Revit and related software to produce construction documentsDevelop and review detail drawings for construction plansCoordinate with contractors, architects, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project successManage individual deliverables and workflow within larger project schedules and communicate any conflicts to the design teamQualifications:BA Interior Design or related field1-4 years relevant experienceProficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Revit, and BluebeamExperience with AI software (i.e. midjourney) a plus but not requiredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge of standard office software (i.e. Google Suite, Slack, Zoom)Legal authorization to work in the USSalary range commensurate with experience and education.To Apply: Please send a resume, cover letter, and portfolio to with the subject line “Junior Interior Designer Position: Your Name”.More job listings from this employer:
