Our graduates achieve at the highest levels in post-secondary education, a reflection of the academic preparation and discipline instilled during their time at Mystic Valley.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement a comprehensive Spanish curriculum aligned with Core Knowledge and IB methodologyDeliver five subject-area classes daily, each grounded in clear, objective-driven instructionRegularly assess student performance and provide timely feedback through progress reports and report cardsParticipate in collaborative planning, data analysis, and instructional alignment with fellow language teachers and department leadershipEstablish a positive, disciplined classroom environment consistent with the MVRCS assertive discipline modelAttend and actively participate in all required staff meetings and professional development opportunitiesSupport school-wide initiatives, events, and student engagement as neededPerform additional duties as assigned by the Department Chair, Assistant Director, Assistant Superintendent, or Superintendent/DirectorQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Spanish or a related field (required)Strong oral and written communication skills in both English and SpanishDemonstrated ability to plan and deliver effective instruction aligned with school and curriculum objectivesAbility to collect and interpret data to inform instructional decision-makingStrong classroom management and organizational skillsExperience evaluating student skills and writing performance-based reportsA collaborative, student-centered approach with a commitment to academic excellenceAbility to build strong relationships with students, families, and colleaguesKnowledge of relevant laws, instructional procedures, and best practices in language educationAdditional DetailsThis is a full-time, salaried position subject to annual performance evaluation.
