Professional Plastics is an equal opportunity employer and offers competitive pay and benefits.Position Summary: The Business Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations including: sales, operations, personnel, inventory and all branch assets. They develop and execute a business plan to achieve sales and net profit goals established by management and administer company policy and procedures. They develop strategic business relationships with clients and vendors to drive overall success of business unit.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following, as well as other duties that may be assigned.
  • Develops and manages business plan that generates new growth and maximizes net profit
  • Full P&L responsibility to exceed sales and net profit expectations
  • Manages all business assets including: inventory, equipment and structures
  • Ensures safe working environment for all employees while adhering to regulatory compliance
  • Monitors and corrects processes and product quality through RMA’s, scrap and rejects
  • Continuously evaluates overall workflow, equipment, processes and personnel to ensure resources are optimized for maximum efficiency
  • Ensures all employees are adequately trained in their respective area of focus, providing guidance and performance feedback
  • Drives profitable sales growth through independent and collaborative initiatives
Supervisory Responsibilities: Direct reports include branch staff including but not limited to Territory Managers, Inside Sales Representatives, Administrative Assistants, warehouse and production staff.Travel: Travel may include customer and vendor visits, trips to other branches and corporate related travel as required.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Proficiency in standard office and database programs/equipment
  • Knowledge of ERP systems
Education and Experience: (Required and preferred educational and experiential qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a management role
