
Environmental Admin Assitant

- Provide administrative and clerical support to the environmental team, including. scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and preparing agendas and minutes.
- Assist in the draft, edit, and format of technical and non-technical documents, reports, and correspondence.
- Maintain accurate filing systems for documents, reports, regulatory compliance records, and environmental data.
- Support data entry, tracking, and management of environmental monitoring and project-related databases
- Lead the coordination of public outreach, meetings, and community events related to environmental initiatives.
- Support grant tracking, procurement, and budgeting tasks by maintaining spreadsheets and assisting with reporting deadlines.
- Communicate professionally with internal departments, external agencies, and community members.
- Order and maintain office supplies and coordinate with vendors for service-related needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); experience with databases or document management systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with environmental terminology, permitting processes, or regulatory documentation is desirable
- High school diploma or GED required, associate degree or coursework in environmental studies, office administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in an environmental, regulatory, or technical setting.
- Experience working with tribal governments, local/state/federal agencies, or environmental organizations is a plus.
- A valid California driver’s license and the ability to maintain insurability under the Tribes Vehicle Insurance Policy.
