You will architect scalable, secure, and integrated data solutions that enable real-time insights and data-driven decision-making across the enterprise, driving operational efficiency and competitive advantage in the manufacturing sector.Reporting to the GM – Data Engineering, the person in this role will support the Data team's objectives.What you’ll be doingArchitect end-to-end enterprise data solutions including but not limited to data ingestion from IoT devices, production systems, and supply chain platformsCollaborate with manufacturing, operations, quality, supply chain and IT teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable data architecturesDesign data models and integration frameworks that support data analytics, process optimization, and compliance reportingLead the implementation of data lakes, data warehouses, and streaming platforms to handle large volumes of structured and unstructured dataEvaluate and recommend data technologies and tools to enhance data capture, processing, and analytics capabilitiesPartner with Data Stewards to establish and enforce data governance, security, and compliance standards aligned with industry regulationsDrive data architecture best practices to support data initiatives, including AI/ML integration, edge computing and real-time monitoringProvide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholdersDevelop proof-of-concept projects to validate new data technologies and use casesDocument architecture designs, data flows, and integration patternsStay abreast of emerging trends in data technologies and analytics to continuously improve enterprise data capabilitiesWhat you bringBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or similar (or equivalent experience)Experience in data architecture or data solution designExpertise in cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologiesStrong skills in data modeling, ETL/ELT, data integration, and real-time data processingExperience with data ingestion, time-series databases, and streaming analyticsProgramming experience in Python, Scala, or JavaProficiency in SQL and familiarity with NoSQL and graph databasesExcellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholdersExperience working in agile, cross-functional teamsExperience with Databricks, Snowflake or similar Data PlatformsExperience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and DevOps practicesKnowledge of compliance standards and data security best practicesAdded bonus if you haveCertifications in cloud platforms or data architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Data Engineer)Experience with manufacturing systems and data sources typical in manufacturing environmentsExperience in data architecture or data solution design in manufacturing or industrial sectors with IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things)What we’ll bringDuring your interview process, our team can fill you in on all the details of our industry-leading benefits and career development opportunities.
