Job Summary:Under general supervision from the Director of Emergency Services and the Medical Director, will respond to emergency medical calls, perform extrication and life rescue, and provide basic life support to sick/injured persons in pre-hospital settings. Follows all established standards and procedures set forth by policy and procedures, and physician direction by written protocol/standing order, radio, telephone, or personal interaction. Part-time employee will be scheduled on an as needed basis to cover personnel shortages.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalency.
Six to nine months of experience as an Emergency Medical Services provider.
Valid Texas Driver's License.
Must possess Emergency Medical Technician Certification.
Possession of or ability to obtain within one year from date of hire, BLS Healthcare Provider Certificate
