- Flexible, accountable scheduling: this is an exempt role with variable hours depending on events and client meetings. For example, if an event runs until 10:00 PM, the following day's schedule should reflect a later start. The workweek balances around 40 hours, with an emphasis on client coverage, sales activity, and team collaboration.
- Generate private event business through outreach, referrals, networking, and inbound inquiries
- Qualify leads to ensure alignment with Club capabilities and service standards
- Conduct site visits, tastings, and client consultations to close bookings
- Draft and present custom proposals based on client needs and available space
- Respond promptly to RFPs and leads from member and public channels
- Manage contracts and support clients through the handoff to the Event Coordinator
- Serve as the point of contact for high-profile and VIP events as needed
- Collaborate with the culinary and food & beverage teams on menu packages
- Support event-related marketing by providing content, ideas, and insight
- Track monthly sales performance and report regularly to the Director of F&B
- Maintain relationships with repeat clients, members, vendors, and event partners
- 3+ years of experience in event or catering sales, preferably in a private club, hotel, or venue
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals
- Familiarity with food and beverage service standards and event flow
- Experience with event software (Jonas preferred) and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills
- Experience contributing to marketing or promotional efforts is a plus
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed for key events
