Technical Solutions Program Manager – Tagging, QA, and AutomationThe Technical Solutions Program Manager plays a critical role in driving program performance through the strategic implementation of technical solutions that enhance tagging accuracy, analytics quality, automation, and cross-system integration. This position oversees the implementation, QA, and automation of SD.js tagging—Shift Digital’s required tagging specification for all certified providers—ensuring accurate deployment and real-time issue resolution. Additionally, the role leads efforts to automate reporting and compliance workflows through platform integrations (e.g., API, Jira, Salesforce), improving efficiency and scalability across the program.Job Responsibilities:
Lead the implementation, QA, and ongoing maintenance of SD.js tagging and performance tracking across providers, ensuring consistent and accurate site analytics.
Ensure certified providers correctly implement SD.js across their tools and lead the development of internal processes and real-time automations to monitor tag health, identify discrepancies, and drive timely resolution.
Oversee the deployment and monitoring of ancillary tools such as the Beacon heatmap, ensuring data flow aligns with reporting objectives and user experience standards.
Develop and document scalable QA processes for key program deliverables, such as performance scorecards, and identify root causes of data inconsistencies with recommendations for improvement.
Evaluate and implement automation solutions for technical workflows, including integration between Core Web Vitals APIs, Salesforce, and Jira, to support ticket creation and reporting efficiencies.
Serve as a liaison across internal stakeholders and development teams to translate program requirements into actionable technical implementation plans.
Define system requirements and create technical documentation that supports internal operations and ensures external provider compliance.
Support internal compliance tracking and enhance Jira-based processes by identifying and implementing tools, plugins, and automations that reduce manual workload.
Contribute to roadmap planning for technical initiatives and tools, emphasizing scalable system design and operational optimization.
Knowledge and Required Skills:
Proficiency in digital analytics platforms, JavaScript-based tagging, and tag management systems
Experience with QA best practices related to data accuracy, reporting, and documentation
Strong understanding of API integrations, workflow automation, and platform connectors (e.g., Jira, Salesforce, Core Web Vitals)
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex data and system issues
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical topics for non-technical stakeholders
Experience in technical project planning, vendor coordination, and stakeholder engagement
Working knowledge of Jira administration, custom workflows, and plugins is a plus
Bachelor’s degree required; experience in the automotive or digital program management space is preferred
