- Support sales activity by bridging the gap between field sales, R&D and corporate marketing.
- Support accelerated sales growth by aligning quarterly and annual business plans with regional sales growth objectives.
- Conduct Field Sales Training by acting as the primary contact person for transferring product line applications training to the regional sales force.
- Assist sales in development and delivery of Customer Technical Presentations
- Assist in Trial Planning and Proposal Preparation in conjunction with the sales team for targeted products.
- Function as primary onsite expert during the implementation of product trials at the customer's mill.
- Troubleshoot Product quality or Applications concerns regarding the individual products at the customer mill site with the product manager, including on site testing and recommendations for “in house” work to be completed.
- Prepare Product Applications Guides jointly with the Product Manager for each product line.
- Prepare case histories and technical papers to support communication and marketing efforts.
- Provide monthly updates to the Strategic Sales Leader
- Provide other reporting communications as requested.
- Train field sales in the process of conducting Competitive Audits of our existing product applications to defend against potential competitive threats.
- Direct Laboratory studies and interpret laboratory analysis in support of accelerated sales growth.

- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Pulp & Paper Science or other related field or substantial industry experience.
- Advanced knowledge of packaging and tissue/towel product lines.
- Well rounded experience in wet-end chemistry to include Retention and Drainage, Strength Chemistry and Defoamers.
- Expertise in Microbiological and Deposit Control.
- Strong computer skills, to include Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point, and SalesForce
- Expert level of understanding of the papermaking process and finished grade knowledge
- Ability to develop and communicate effective chemical program recommendations and proposals.
- Ability to perform statistical data analysis to evaluate program performance.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to understand and support corporate strategy and product line strategies.
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel 60 to 80% within the Americas' region.
