You can help us achieve our vision to lead nationally in innovating equitable whole-person health.The Senior Business Systems Analyst is responsible for project management, system development related projects, and activities for Product Services. Product Engineer and/or Author.
  • Performs system, document, and rules analysis on new system functionality, change requests, and/or defects.
  • Designs, develops, and maintains business rules, model documents and content templates that are the basis for producing fulfillment materials – Benefit Highlights, SBCs, Member Benefit Booklets, and Employer Group Contracts for PA and AHNJ commercial business, Medicare Advantage and Medigap products.
  • Creates test scripts and test cases.
  • Performs Software testing, defect identification, and resolution.
  • Drafts systems documents (e.g., Specification, Release Notice, processing steps, etc.). Works with Product Management, Sales Enablement, Vendor, and Training, as necessary.
  • Researches, reports, and resolves systems issues with production area.
  • Conducts training on system changes and enhancements.
  • Designs testing plans and performs extensive testing to ensure accurate implementation.
  • Performs language content review and design, formatting and brand compliance for the numerous model documents maintained in the document management system.
  • Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. Degree in Computer Science, Business, or a Healthcare related field and an advance degree is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years work related experience.
  • Experience in cross functional development projects and leading a diverse team to achieve results is required.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills required.
  • Experienced in SDLC (system development life cycle), System and Acceptance testing, and the creation of system documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management or document production environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly or indirectly with internal operations, benefits, and products.
  • Demonstrated experience with sales, marketing, product development, actuarial, financial and information systems business.
  • Demonstrated experience in utilizing skills in planning, organizing, leading, and coordinating multiple projects with little or no direction.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Office products (including Word, Excel, and Project). Advanced Access and data mining experience is desired.
