Job Description:MGS has an exciting opportunity for a Set-Up Technician to join our MGS Richfield team. The current openings are on the 12 Hour Day and 12 Hour Night Shift. Work hours are 7:00 to 7:00 under a 2-2-3 rotation, working 3 days one week (36 hours) and 4 days the next (48 hours).As a Set-Up Technician at MGS, you ensure the presses are set up and started correctly with molds and auxiliary equipment.Below are additional duties and responsibilities:
  • Know and follow all of the Company's safety rules, such as safe work practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Serve as a good role model to employees for safe work practices and behavior by conducting yourself professionally, keeping in mind your own safety and the safety of others.
  • Learn and master all necessary areas of the quality system.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Set up tools with needed auxiliary equipment in order to ensure press is ready for start-up.
  • Perform line clearance.
  • Perform proper tool pulls when production run is complete.
  • Resolve water line malfunctions when needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to nozzle tips.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to jobs that are currently running.
  • Follow general requirements and cleaning for a cleanroom environment.
  • Maintain safe work area.
  • Ensures materials are dried and prepared according to specifications before being used in production.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Completion of an accredited two-year technical college program, or a four-year university program, in a related field of study is preferred.
  • 1-3 years' experience or accrued on-the-job training and experience.
  • Fork truck and Lock out Tag out Certification.
  • Plastic injection molding experience.
